What it does
The Dior backstage glow palette offers medium-to-high impact powder highlight. It comes in four shades that can be used anywhere on the face, including use as a highlighter or eyeshadow.
Why it’s great for brides to be
A timeless favorite and a must-have in my bridal kit, this highlighter quad is available in four stunning color combinations. The silky powder formula blends effortlessly onto the skin giving a smooth, camera-ready finish. Its versatility allows me to achieve anything from a soft glow to a radiant, high-impact shine for my brides.
The 001 Universal palette, as pictured, can take my clients from summer to winter with its cool and warm tones making it easy to use however tanned they are. The useful addition of a rosy pink allows me to add a beautiful blush shade and the colours can also be used as eyeshadows. The three other colour palettes available offer variety for use on different skin tones.
How to use it
Suitable for use anywhere on the face, the way I apply this product transforms its look on the skin. For a subtle glow I use a soft, fluffy brush and for a bold, high-shine finish I reach for something more dense.
With its pearlescent effect this palette works beautifully on the high points of the face - cheekbones, nose, browbone, inner corner of the eye, and the cupid's bow for a radiant glow. It can also be added to eye makeup to achieve a beautifully elevated effect. Best used with precision, as it's too intense for an all-over application, I tend to skip the large powder brush and opt for a smaller one to target specific areas.
The shades can be used individually or blended together to create a stunning, custom highlight. The strobe white shade can be used to lighten any other colour in the palette, for example, I can achieve a cool, icy pink when mixing it with the blush pink shade. When experimenting, the key is to build up gradually, layer by layer, until reaching the perfect level of glow.

Its gorgeous finish and incredible versatility make it a product I always reach for and recommend.

FAQ’S
How long does the glow last on the skin?
In my experience, this product has excellent staying power, though the shine does tend to fade a bit over time. To keep it looking fresh, I recommend using a good setting spray (check out my suggestions here). For my brides, I often provide a makeup touch-up or change before the evening reception, using this palette to add a bit more highlight and bring back that beautiful lit-from-within glow.
How much product do you get in the palette, and does it last a long time?
You’ll get 10 grams of product and the high pigment content means it lasts a long time.
Does it offer a natural finish?
This palette gives you the flexibility to achieve a range of looks, from a subtle glow to a more intense highlight. However, if you're after an ultra-natural finish, this might not be the best choice. Its true charm lies in its versatility, but I’d suggest it more for special occasions or if you’re comfortable with makeup application. For everyday use, it’s perfect for those who love a soft glam vibe and don’t shy away from a little extra radiance.
Is the palette travel-friendly?
I’ve travelled all over the world to destination weddings with this palette in my kit, the individual shadows have never shattered, the case is still firmly intact, too. It’s a safe bet if you’re on to move a lot.
Is Dior cruelty free and vegan?
Dior state on their website that they do not test on animals, however, they do sell products in countries where animal testing is required by law (it was banned in England in 1998) which means they can not considered a 100% cruelty free brand. Dior products will be tested on animals by a third party in order to be sold in other countries. Some Dior makeup and skincare products contain animal derived ingredients including lanolin and beeswax, so it can’t be considered a vegan brand.
